The founder of 10o Thousand Poets for Change, Michael Rothenberg, offers us this lovely Moroccan lyric!

“PLUS C’EST LA MÊME CHOSE AGADIR”
Eel and peppers
Braying donkeys and alley cats
Doves gathered at the gates of the souk
Amber resin beads and lapis lazuli
The saffron glow of Moroccan leather
No, I haven’t heard the muezzin
Call us to our knees
But there’s a snake charmer to charm us
And a poet to take us wherever we want to go
And what about change? I ask.
There must be change!
“Do not worry about change,” Habib says.
“Change will take care of itself.”
